LSA has been awarded with two further\u00a0GOOD DESIGN\u00a0Awards for 2024.<\/p>\n

The FOLK and VICTORIA collections have both been recognised for their design excellence by\u00a0The Chicago Athenaeum.<\/p>\n

Founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, GOOD DESIGN remains the oldest and the world\u2019s most recognized program for design excellence worldwide. LSA has now received ten GOOD DESIGN Awards.<\/p>\n

FOLK<\/p>\n

Colourful striped vases and decorative objects inspired by traditional Polish \u0141owicki fabrics. Solid, coloured glass rods are fused with a gather of clear glass and then mouth blown into a bespoke mould. The skilled, handmade process produces distinctive folk-inspired patterns and organic forms, with no two vessels ever being the same.<\/p>\n

“The curved forms echo the billowing silhouettes of layered skirts, Folk acts as a tangible connection to LSA\u2019s cultural heritage \u2014 a celebration of our Polish roots and the joyful exuberance of the country\u2019s artistic traditions.”<\/em><\/p>\n

VICTORIA<\/p>\n

A collection of vases created in tribute to the late florist Victoria Taberer-Bond.
\nA long-standing partner and friend to LSA, Victoria crafted arrangements for editorial shoots, bouquets for the LSA showrooms and presented flowers for events, always lending her passion, astute eye and love for organic colour.<\/p>\n

Her inspiration came directly from the natural world, with her vivid style challenging uniformity. In her memory, the mouth-blown vases are based on the design of florists\u2019 conical metal containers, with the flared or tapered forms and wide flat collars facilitating and encouraging creativity when arranging flowers or foliage.<\/p>\n

For each Victoria vase we sell, we make a donation to the cancer charity Sarcoma UK
\nin her memory.<\/p>\n
